Big Trouble in the Castle

An enraged Prince William reportedly plans to strip Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) of their HRH (Her Royal Highness) titles once he inherits the British throne from King Charles III, whose health appears to be rapidly deteriorating due to the King’s recent cancer diagnosis.

“Prince William loathes and despises Harry and Meghan with every bone in his body. He believes they have betrayed everything the family stands for and the idea that they are using their royal status as a calling card enrages him,” a source close to the Royal family has stated. 

“Charles might be happy to put up with them, but William won’t,” a Royal insider has been quoted in the Daily Beast, referring to Ms. Markle’s use of her HRH title alongside her lifestyle products which include a pricey jam. 

The source claims Ms. Markle is in violation of an agreement with the late Queen Elizabeth II in using the HRH title in promotion of her personal brands.

A spokesman for the couple reportedly tried to downplay the incident, saying the Sussexes do not use HRH titles. But sources close to them insist they use their HRH titles privately but not for commercial purposes. 

“Charles has completely lost control,” the Daily Beast reports. “It’s apparent that Harry and Meghan have every intention of making his final years a misery, just as he feared they would. She knows King Charles won’t do anything. But there is no way King William will stand for this. The titles will simply be removed when he is King. A way will be found.”
