Pike St. Croix - Sonya’s Fine Island Jewelry was robbed on Thursday afternoon, at around 2:30 pm, on October 1, 2026, by a man who was wielding a machete at employees inside of the ever-popular retail shop. The suspect was arrested by the VIPD Special Operations Bureau within hours of his crime in Mount Welcome. Multiple calls were made to the 911 Emergency Call Center reporting an incident at the jewelry store, which prompted an immediate response by the VIPD.

Pike St. Croix - On Sunday, September 20, 2026, in broad daylight, in the middle of the afternoon, 911 received multiple calls of discharging shots in the Princess Villas Housing Apartments in Estate La Grande Princesse. The reports spoke of an unresponsive male lying on the ground. VIPD and EMS personnel arrived on the scene and confirmed a male had no signs of life and had been shot to death in an exterior staircase on the grounds of the housing complex.
