St. Croix - Listen! Can you hear it? Hey, ain’t that jazz? Why, yes, it is! That’s real live jazz, jumpin’ out of the old Galleon Restaurant. That’s Kevin Rames and CJ Baz and those pesky little Troublemakers blowin’ the night wild, blowin’ the Hot Jazz at the Galleon Jazz Club at Tamarind Reef Resort, in Christiansted. Whoa baby, we are going to have a “Le Jazz Hot” night, call it a “Saturday Situation” night, on the Big Island this Saturday night!

So here’s the 4-1-1:

The Galleon at Tamarind Reef Resort has become St. Croix’s premier oceanfront event and entertainment venue. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the island’s North Shore, it’s the newest hot spot where timeless nautical elegance meets refined island culture. And get this, The Galleon has evolved into more than a destination venue, it has staked its claim as the cultural heartbeat for “live jazz” on St. Croix.

St. Croix has long been an island rich in rhythms, surrounded with local artistry, and bursting with musical talent. It has its museums, its galleries, its reggae clubs. But for years it has lacked one important niche in the wheel of entertainment venues - a dedicated home for authentic, live jazz. While jazz has deep Caribbean and African American roots, no promoters have bothered to celebrate the genre with the reverence, sound quality, and sophistication that the  classic musical form of jazz deserves.

Enter the Galleon Jazz Club. Born from a vision that desires to elevate St. Croix’s cultural offerings, while honoring its musical legacy, the Galleon was designed by Andrea Alexander of Castle Productions to fill a critical gap in the island’s nightlife and arts scene. The Galleon Jazz Club offers locals and visitors a permanent, world-class jazz experience with tremendous acoustics, in a warm and elegant space that overlooks the beautiful harbor at Green Cay Marina.

Jazz is much more than great hypnotic music with a contagious beat, it is our heritage, it is the storytelling of our ancestors, the emotional outlet of a world that yearns for connection and meaning. Jazz is the lifeblood that pumps throughout our history, reminding us of our struggles, our defeats, our victories, our days to shine in the sun.

Jazz at the Galleon has stepped out to create a sophisticated nightlife option beyond traditional entertainment. It brings a spotlight on local, regional, Caribbean and International talent. In doing so, The Galleon has become an instant gathering place for musicians, creatives, travelers, and locals, united in their shared appreciation for excellence in sound and atmosphere.

At the heart of The Galleon’s jazz identity is the “Saturday Situation” - a signature weekly jazz series held every Saturday night through July 2026. The “Saturday Situation” is more than a performance, it is a movement. Each evening blends Live Jazz Excellence, along with a Refined Social Atmosphere, topped off with Elevated Cocktails and Service, all placed in an intimate, club-style experience rarely found in the Caribbean.

This Saturday January 17, 2026, brings to the Saturday Situation Stage the remarkable Jazz group The TROUBLEMAKERS. Headlining with this smokin' hot jazz band of 'way kool' Troublemakers is the incomparable duo of Kevin Raines and CJ Baz. Don't Miss Out! As Kevin and CJ bring a jolt of electronic jazz magnetism to the Galleon Jazz Club with their own special style of jazz duets that compares to the greats of Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga. This groups hometown crowd connection sets the tone for a world-class jazz experience week after week in 2026!

So, don’t miss the smash "Saturday Situation" line-up in 2026! Come on down to the “Saturday Situation” at the Galleon at Tamarind Reef. Sit back and relax. Have a Caribbean cocktail. Take in the Fab View. And enjoy a great New Year while you listen to some of the best Jazz in the Caribbean!
