St. Croix - Commissioner Jean Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) is pleased to announce that the Talking Books Library will host its next Book Club with Nina Garcia on Wednesday, July 9th at 10:00am. The event will take place at the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Challenged, now located within the Florence Williams Library in Christiansted. 

     

This month’s featured title is Our Last Goodbye by Shirley Dickson, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, has penned a gripping and emotional World War II historical novel, a story that promises to spark meaningful discussion. 

    

“We are proud to continue offering conclusive and engaging programs like Book Club with Nina Garcia through the Talking Books Library,” said Amy Parker DeSorbo, Territorial Director. “This monthly gathering not only promotes literacy and community connection but also reinforces our commitment to providing accessible resources and opportunities for all individuals, especially those with visual or physical challenges.”

     

Book Club with Nina Garcia is held on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:00am, offering a welcoming space for readers of all abilities to connect and share their love of books.
