United Launches Newark
to St. Croix Nonstop

St. Croix - United Airlines is launching a new nonstop service from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) in St. Croix starting on October 31, 2026.
After more than a three decade hiatus, United Airlines will start regular once-weekly Friday flights. The airline will become the only carrier offering a nonstop service to the New York metropolitan area, and will be United’s only route to the U.S. Virgin Islands. This marks the first time that United will operate the route, which was last offered by the airline’s predecessor Continental Airlines and was axed in 1994.
The route will not only be popular with tourists traveling to and from the Territory, but also feed into United’s wider international and domestic network from Newark. It will also offer a more convenient connection from the downstream Caribbean Islands into NYC and beyond.
Other major U.S. carriers serving the U.S. Virgin Islands include JetBlue year-round to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), American Airlines with year-round services to Miami (MIA) and seasonal to Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD). Delta Airlines also offers seasonal services to Atlanta (ATL).
