VITRAN Bus Accident in Princess

St. Croix - The Department of Public Works (DPW) has confirmed that a traffic accident involving a Virgin Islands Transit (VITRAN) mass transit bus occurred on Thursday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 7:39 am on Route 75 at the Titan Gas Station in the La Grande Princess area of St. Croix.
The incident involved the Route 6 bus and a privately operated vehicle. Reportedly, the VITRAN Bus collided with the private vehicle and then went on to crash into one of the Titan Gas station gas pumps. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and were actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
At press time there were no reports of injuries or how many people were on the bus or the condition of the drivers of both the VITRAN Bus and the private vehicle.
