14-year old Shot at JFK on His Way Home

St. Croix - On June 21, 2025, at 11:03 pm, Shot Spotter reported 30 rounds of ammunition fired in the area of John F. Kennedy (aka: JFK) Terrace Community in Richmond on St. Croix. Police units were dispatched shortly after by the 911 Emergency Call Center (ECC). The ECC also received a call from a 14-year old gunshot victim who reported that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

     

Emergency personnel traveled to the scene, and the victim was transported to Juan F. Luis Hospital via ambulance.

     

The victim stated he was on his way home from Harbor View Apartments in Golden Rock when he heard shots being discharged, then felt his legs become weak, and he fell to the ground. 

     

The victim was struck multiple times, mainly on the left side of his body. He required surgery for his wounds although they were not considered life threatening.   

     

The case is being actively investigated. Anyone with information on this shooting incident is encouraged to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) at 340-778-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-TIPS. All tips will remain anonymous.
