2 Shot on Boardwalk Dutty Heart Dead

St. Croix - In what appears to be a targeted murder, two men were shot in a bar off the Christiansted Boardwalk on Thursday afternoon. Well known local Comedian 38-year old Jordan Jones, known to many as Dutty Heart, was killed.
According to an eyewitness, Mr. Jones and a friend were sitting at the newly constructed bar behind Sublime STX when a man dressed in dark clothing and a hoodie approached from the area near the short corridor off Shupes' public bathrooms. Mr. Jones and his friend apparently spotted the assailant and ducked down to avoid the confrontation but the lone gunmen quickly approached him and shot him multiple times, at least once point blank in the face. His companion was grazed by a bullet. The assailant escaped on foot.
Mr. Jones was rushed to Juan F. Luis Hospital and succumbed to his injuries. His companion was treated for a graze wound and is recovering from non-life-threatening bullet wound.
The speculative talk on the street points to a dispute over a gold chain that Mr. Jones happened to be wearing at the time.
