Dead Body in Bag on STT

St. Thomas - On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at about 3:48 pm, the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of a possible body wrapped in garbage bags that was discovered in the area of Fortuna on St. Thomas.

Upon the Virgin Islands Police Department officer’s arrival, they conducted an inspection in the surrounding area and observed a black bag containing human remains. 

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) were called to the scene and concluded that the individual did not have any vital signs. The identity and gender of this individual is currently unknown pending an autopsy.
