Double Homicide on STT During 48-Hour Power Outage

ST. Thomas - Two men were murdered  and another was injured in Lindbergh Bay on St. Thomas, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at around 8:00 pm during an island-wide power outage that lasted over 48 hours in the STT-STJ District.

    

VIPD reported receiving a 911 call of shots being fired in the Lindbergh Bay area. A second caller reported hearing multiple gunshots and said three men had suffered gunshot wounds. 

     

Officers responded to the scene and found two men unresponsive having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. EMT personnel determined the two men showed no signs of life. 

     

One of the deceased was identified by next of kin as 54-year old Lidio Arturo Jimenez Montero. The second victim was identified by next of kin as 49-year old Guillermo Soto Guerrero. 

     

The third male victim sustained at least one gunshot wound and was transported to the ER at Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

     

According to VIPD, at this time, there are no active suspects. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the CIB at 340-774-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
