Fatal Shooting on STT

St. Thomas - On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at around 12:40 am, the Virgin Islands Police Department units were dispatched to the area of Haabets Gade, in the vicinity of Simmonds Alley in downtown Charlotte Amalie, regarding a reported gunshot victim. When they arrived on the scene, they found a male, lying on the ground, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported via ambulance to Schneider Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was treated for his wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by Doctors in the ER, the male wound up succumbing to his injuries.
The victim was identified by next of kin as 66-year old Aubrey L. Frett.
