Man Arrested in Burglary and Sexual Assault Case

St. Croix - On August 15, 2025, at approximately 6:17 am, an adult female victim reported to the 911 Emergency Call Center, that while she was asleep inside her home an unknown male entered her residence without her authorization and sexually assaulted her. 

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau were assigned to investigate. Osei Edwards, 25 years old, was identified as the suspect in the case and was arrested. 

Mr. Edwards was advised of his Miranda Rights and he was booked. He was unable to post bail which was set at $75,000. He was charged with Burglary First, Unlawful Sexual Contact, and Unlawful entry. He was transported to the John Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights Hearing on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Superior Court.
