Man Found Shot Dead in Car in Estate Glynn; 2025 Homicides Down 22%

St. Croix - At approximately 1:15 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2025, the 911 Emergency Call Center received several calls relating to a shooting near the Crab Queen seafood restaurant in Estate Glynn, St. Croix.
VIPD officers responded to the scene and immediately found an unresponsive male inside a vehicle. The victim, who was later identified as D’Andre Friday, age 25, was slumped over in the driver’s seat where he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Emergency Medical personnel responded to the scene and determined the man was deceased.
Police were not immediately aware of the circumstances surrounding the murder, which was the 34th homicide in the Territory in 2025, in comparison to 43 murders in 2024.
