Man shot Dead Near Sunny Isles Gas Station

St. Croix - On Monday March 30, 2026, at around 7:00 pm, the 911 Emergency Call Center received alerts from the Shot Spotter Detection System that a number of shots had been fired in the vicinity of the Gas For Less Gas Station in Estate Diamond across from the Sunny Isles Shopping Center.
Shortly after, calls began to come in from residents who had heard the multiple shots fired and reported a male was lying wounded on the ground near the gas station. When VIPD Officers arrived on the scene, they found a Black male lying on the ground on the west side of Gas For Less service station, bleeding from his upper body.
Emergency Medical Technicians arrived and transported the victim to nearby Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Room, but it was too late to save him. He succumbed from his gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as 41-year old Emmett Bramble Jr.
The shooting incident is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB). Anyone with any information is urged to contact 911, the CIB at 340-778-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
