Man Shot Dead on STX

St. Croix - At approximately 11:53 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025, officers were dispatched by VITEMA’s 911 Emergency Call Center to Bienvenido’s Bar in Estate Profit, St. Croix, in reference to a reported gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying face down inside the establishment. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived shortly after the call and confirmed the male had no vital signs.
The victim was identified by next of kin as 49 year-old Hoedelair Germaine. The Virgin Islands Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
The case is currently under active investigation by the VIPD Major Crimes Unit. At this time, no further details are available from the Virgin Islands Police Department.
