Hollywood - Fox News Superstar, Megyn Kelly reignited the controversy around ex-TV Talk Show Host Ellen DeGeneres’ behind-the-scenes behavior on her former television show with a blistering on-air attack. Kelly’s rant saw her combine a scathing response to DeGeneres’ anti-ICE video with a new behind-the-scenes allegation about how the former daytime TV host allegedly treated her staff.

DeGeneres recently took to Instagram with a tribute to Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old woman who was shot dead in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after an ICE officer confronted her at her car window. The controversy over the shooting has stirred protests in Minneapolis and around the country.

“I just wanted to say I am sorry for what is happening in Minneapolis and our country really,” said DeGeneres. “I am proud of everyone who is protesting peacefully. I am sorry for anyone who has been hurt just for protesting, for doing what you should be doing.” DeGeneres stated from her new home in the UK where she moved in 2024.

Speaking on her Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly accused DeGeneres of hypocrisy and ideological blindness before dropping what she claims was insider information from her talk show - that Producers were allegedly forbidden from making eye contact with Ellen in the hallways.

“She had a rule, I’m very reliably informed, you were not allowed to look her in the eye as one of her Producers when you walked past her in the hallway,” Kelly said.

The explosive claim came as Kelly tore into DeGeneres for posting a video backing anti-ICE protestors in Minneapolis, arguing that the same behavior that poisoned DeGeneres’ workplace now informs her political views.

“Ellen DeGeneres felt the need to weigh in…She’s abandoned the United States to go live in the UK, but it’s still really important to all of us what she thinks. And so I have an answer for you today, and here it is..Let’s not forget why Ellen lost her daytime show,” Kelly stated. “It’s because she was a bully.”

The MAGA Podcast host and ex-FOX News Commentator, who is estimated to be worth $50 million, went on to allege that during DeGeneres’ reign as host, staff members were subjected to rigid and demeaning rules. DeGeneres was not technically fired from her TV show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which ran for 19 seasons, but her show ended due to a massive scandal that erupted in 2020 over a toxic workplace, featuring allegations of racism, intimidation and sexual misconduct by employees, contradicting DeGeneres’ “be kind” image. The allegations led to internal investigations, Producer firings, and a significant decline in viewership and trust. DeGeneres publicly apologized, promising to do better in the future but the damage was already done and the highly popular show was ended.

Kelly made the “bully” allegation as part of a broader criticism of DeGeneres’ social-media intervention in Minneapolis, where unrest has followed the fatal shooting of a protester, Renee Good, during demonstrations against federal immigration enforcement agents.

“And so it’s no surprise that Ellen DeGeneres is totally fine with what these so-called protesters, terrorists, are doing in the streets of Minneapolis. It’s no surprise whatsoever,” Kelly continued. “And when she says, I’m sorry for any protesters getting hurt, she of course is talking about Renee Good. And I’m sure, just like most leftists, she’s been fed the same lies we’ve heard from CNN now from the beginning, and she’s chosen to believe them because she’s ignorant and it’s willful, it’s not blind ignorance, it’s willful ignorance. It suits her ideological purposes. Shame on her. Enjoy England!..I’m sorry our friends across the pond are stuck with Ellen, but let’s face it, they gave us Harry and Megan, so they deserve her,” Kelly concluded.

DeGeneres, whose worth is estimated to be close to a billion dollars, and her wife, Portia de Rossi, moved to the Cotswolds, England, in late 2024, after President Trump’s re-election. DeGeneres and  Trump have maintained a long-standing dislike for each other. DeGeneres and de Rossi initially bought and renovated a large farm, which they were not happy with and listed it for sale within months to find a property better suited for Portia’s horses, eventually settling into another beautiful farmhouse in the same picturesque English countryside region.
