St. Croix - The October 2025 meeting of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) took place at Coffee Roasters, in downtown Christiansted, on the first Saturday of the month, October 4, 2025.

The meeting was called to order by Jamie Leonard, National Director of MUFON in the USVI.

There were several lively topics that were covered during the course of the meeting. Members felt the necessity to clarify certain issues that seem to come up during the course of everyday discussions on UFOs. No doubt not everyone is on the same page when it comes to their beliefs in the existence of UFOs. In an effort to sort this issue out, MUFON members delved into the following topics:

I - A Survival Guide: How to talk to Normies about UFOs

The following question may very well come up: So…do you believe in UFOs?

  1. Rule # 1 - Read the Situation First

  2. The Three-Tier Answer System

  3. Use “Some People Believe…” as a shield

  4. Keep Your Body Language Chill

  5. Have a Go-To “Exit Answer”

  6. Protect the Kids

  7. Remember your Goal - You are not trying to win a debate, or convert a stranger

II - Kids, UFOs, and MUFON: What Parents Should Know

  1. What do we tell kids?

  2. What will kids tell friends and adults at school?

  3. Should parents worry about fitting in (or looking crazy)?

  4. Questions kids may ask (and sample answers)

After this interesting discussion on how the topic of UFOs comes into play in everyday life, the group focused on a more serious issue concerning our new, fascinating interstellar visitor 31/ATLAS.

31/ATLAS: Hype vs. Reality, October 2025 Update

Topics involved:

  • What it is

  • Why scientists care

  • Nickel buzz

  • Channeler claims

  • What Tik Tok/Channelers are saying (the “mothership” lane)

  • What NASA & Astronomers Actually Report

  • Myth vs Fact

  • Why the hype happens

The meeting closed on a high note - 31/ATLAS has little to no chance of crashing into the planets Mars and Earth. Whether it is some sort of disguised alien craft with its inhabitants looking to greet earthlings and relate their fabulous adventures and wormhole travels throughout the Universe, or if they are interstellar bandits looking to cause havoc throughout our solar system, is a question that has yet to be answered.

But if you care to explore any of these tidbits of UFOlogy or would like a more detailed recap of the October meeting come to one of MUFON’s meetings at Coffee Roasters in the King Christian Hotel between 1pm - 2:30 pm, on the first Saturday of the month or visit the MUFON Facebook page.
