Murder at Titan Service Station in Princesse

St. Croix - At around 10 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, a concerned citizen called into the 911 Emergency Call Center and reported a gunshot victim was at the Titan Service Station in La Grande Princesse. VIPD responded to the scene and found an adult male lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

EMT arrived shortly after and saw the victim had no signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The victim was identified by next of kin as 22-year old Thymothy Rodriguez.

The CIB is actively investigating the shooting, which early reports indicate it as First-Degree murder. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is urged to call 911, or CIB at 340-774-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Mr. Rodriguez’s murder marks the 20th homicide on St. Croix in 2026, and the 35th in the USVI. St. John has reported no homicides.
