Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin has moved four Tu-95MS Nuclear Bombers closer to Europe. The strategic move comes in response to U.S. President Donald Trump who ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines near the Russian coast, a move that followed the threat of nuclear war made by the Kremlin’s close ally, Dimitry Medvedev.

“American submarines are now where they need to be,” President Trump stated.

These strategic Russian aircraft are frequently used to bomb Ukraine, and are reportedly loaded with missiles, creating a “high probability” of an imminent attack.

“Russia has transferred bombers from the Far East closer to Ukraine,” said an insider. “Some of the aircraft are already equipped with cruise missiles. These aircraft are part of Russia’s nuclear arsenal, but are also used to strike Ukraine with conventional bombs.”

The saber-rattling moves come in the wake of a recent Russian drone incursion over Polish airspace. Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that 19 Russian drones flew over Poland and four of the drones were shot down by Polish and Nato aircraft. The incident marked the first time Russian drones have been downed over territory of a Nato country.

PM Tusk warned that Poland is at its closest to open conflict since World War II.

Russia’s defence ministry says it did not plan to attack any targets in Poland. The drones that entered Poland were part of overnight attacks on Ukraine, during which Russia launched 415 drones.

In addition, Romania’s defense ministry said its airspace had been breached by a single Russian drone during a Russian attack on infrastructure in neighboring Ukraine.  Romania responded by scrambling two F-16 fighter jets to monitor the situation until it disappeared from radar.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia was deliberately expanding its drone operations.

“The Russian military knows exactly where their drones are headed and how long they can stay in the air,” President Zelensky remarked.

The UK’s defence minister, John Healy, says he has asked Britain’s armed forces to “look at options to bolster Nato’s air defence over Poland.

President Trump reacted to the drone incursion with a social media post.

“What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!” The President remarked without elaborating any further.

President Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff is expected to travel to Russia in the coming days. He will continue ongoing talks with Russia on the ramifications of the U.S. implying further sanctions on the Kremlin if it does not take steps towards a ceasefire and a continuation of talks to end the war.
