PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHRISTIANSTED, ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – October 19, 2026

ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The RTPark Community Impact Fund (CIF) is pleased to  announce the return of its Crucian Christmas Festival Microloan Program for a second consecutive  year. Beginning October 19, 2026, eligible entrepreneurs and small businesses preparing for the  upcoming Crucian Christmas Festival can apply for microloans ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.

The program reflects the CIF's ongoing commitment to expanding access to capital for local  entrepreneurs while supporting the cultural traditions and economic activities that contribute to the  vitality of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Crucian Christmas Festival represents more than a cherished cultural celebration. It is also an  important economic driver, creating seasonal business opportunities for vendors, food service  operators, artisans, and other small businesses that contribute to the festival experience. Through this  targeted financing initiative, the CIF seeks to ensure that local entrepreneurs have greater access to the  working capital needed to prepare for and participate in these opportunities.

Now entering its second year, the program builds upon the CIF's experience providing financing  tailored to the unique needs of festival-based enterprises. By recognizing the seasonal nature of these  businesses and the financial demands associated with festival preparation, the CIF continues to  demonstrate the importance of developing lending products that respond to the economic and cultural  realities of the Territory.

"Our return to the Crucian Christmas Festival for a second year represents an important step in the  evolution of the Community Impact Fund," said Dr. Pat Morris, Executive Director of the CIF. "We  recognize that economic development in the Virgin Islands must be grounded in the realities of our  communities. The festival is an important part of our cultural identity, and it is also a meaningful  economic opportunity for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Through this program, we are  demonstrating how accessible, community-focused financing can support local enterprise, preserve  cultural traditions, and strengthen our economy."

The launch comes at a significant time in the CIF's institutional development. As an emerging  Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), the CIF is working to expand its lending  capacity, strengthen its financial infrastructure, and establish itself as a trusted source of capital for  underserved businesses and communities throughout St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John.

The Crucian Christmas Festival Microloan Program is one example of the CIF's broader strategy to  develop financial products that address gaps in traditional lending, particularly for small businesses  operating within the Territory's seasonal, cultural, and community-based economies.

Applications Open October 19. Applications for the 2026 Crucian Christmas Festival Microloan  Program will open on Monday, October 19, 2026. Eligible applicants may request financing  ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to support qualifying business needs, including inventory,  equipment, supplies, and other festival-related operating expenses.
