Sex Offender of Female Minor Extradited back to STX

St. Croix - On February 9, 2026, at around 1:30 pm, a report was made to VIPD regarding the sexual assault of a minor. A Detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate the matter, which disclosed that a female minor had been allegedly sexually assaulted by Ajahny Joseph.
During the investigation, Detectives learned that Mr. Joseph was no longer on the island of St. Croix.
On April 7, 2026, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Ajahny Joseph that was signed by an Honorable Judge of the Superior Court. The warrant was subsequently entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. Thereafter, Detectives were notified that Mr. Joseph was in custody in Orange County, Florida.
On July 3, 2026, Ajahny Joseph, 25, was extradited back to St. Croix, where he was booked. Bail was set at $75,000. Unable to post bail, Mr. Joseph was remanded to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights hearing set for July 6, 2026, at the Superior Court.
