Stabbing Incident on STX

St. Croix - On September 29, 2025, at approximately 2:48 am, Police Officers were dispatched via 911 Emergency Call Center to the Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Room for a reported stab wound victim. The victim, an adult male, was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital ER via private vehicle. As a result of the assault the victim sustained serious injuries to his arm and was admitted for further treatment.
Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau opened an investigation which revealed Jeuris Zabala-Ramirez was identified as the suspect in the case. Mr. Zabala-Ramirez was apprehended at his residence and transported to the police station where he was advised of his Miranda Rights. He was interviewed and admitted to assaulting the victim. Mr. Zabala-Ramirez was charged with Assault First Degree, Assault Third Degree, Use of a Dangerous Weapon during a Crime of Violence. Mr. Zabala-Ramirez, 37, was booked and unable to post bail of $100,000, he was therefore transported to the John A. Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
