STX Rape Suspect Arrested

St. Croix - On December 13, 2023, at approximately 2:22 pm, a female victim walked into the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station to report that she was sexually assaulted by Earl Shervington. 

A member of the Criminal Investigations bureau was assigned to the investigation into the complaint. During this investigation the Detective learned that Earl Shervington forced himself on the victim and sexually assaulted her. On October 3, 2025, an arrest warrant was signed by an Honorable Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands for Mr. Shervington’s arrest. His bail was set at $75,000 for Rape First and Unlawful Sexual Conduct First charges. 

On October 9, 2025, Earl Shervington, 36, turned himself in at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station with his Defense Attorney. Mr. Shervington was booked and allowed to post 10% of the bail by the Honorable Court. Mr. Shervington’s Advice of Rights hearing is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Superior Court.
