Two Brothers Arrested for String of STX Burglaries

St. Croix - Deputy Chief of Police for the St. Croix District, Naomi Joseph, held a press briefing on September 3, 2026, to inform the public that two brothers were arrested in connection with the recent string of burglaries that has plagued St. Croix businesses and residents over the past two months.

“In response to the barrage of burglaries on St. Croix we have formed a team made up of Officer Loren Williams and Officer Manisa Joseph.” the Deputy Chief announced. “Within the last two months we had roughly 40 burglaries on St. Croix. One day alone we had twenty. Our business community has been hit tremendously with damages to doors and windows. They have been busting in windows with bricks and causing thousands of dollars in damages.”

Businesses have been robbed in Christiansted, Frederiksted and Princess during the lawless burglary spree. Residents have been broken into all over the island from the East Side to Estate Shoys to the West Side.

“In response we were able to arrest two young men, brothers, DeShawn Henley and his brother Shawn Henley. They were charged with Burglary based on video evidence we have amassed from the different crime scenes. Shawn Henley was caught with a vehicle that was stolen in Estate Shoys. And in that location we had a number of residences that were burglarized as well,” Ms. Joseph stated. 

The Deputy Chief called on residences and businesses to aid in the apprehension of these criminals by providing any information or video footage that the public might have that could aid in the arrests and the building of cases against the perpetrators.
