Whoopi Goldberg - Emmy, Grammy, Academy Award and Tony Award-winning entertainer and entrepreneur, will take the stage at CMB (Cannabis Means Business) industry event, in NYC, to officially launch “Whoop-Tea” her new non-alcoholic beverage that has 10mg THC and blends lemonade and iced tea.

Ms. Goldberg is partnering with the cannabis beverage brand Pure Genesis, a Black woman-owned cannabis and hemp company, to enter the rapidly growing cannabis beverage market.

“I wanted to create something that’s fun, relaxing and brings people together without the hangover,” The Color Purple Oscar-winning star said. “Whoop-Tea is exactly that. It’s tea. It’s lemonade. It’s THC, and it’s all about unwinding and enjoying the moment.”

Pure Genesis co-founder Priscilla Wynn said, “Whoop-Tea is what happens when passion meets purpose. It’s a celebration of flavor, culture, and community, and  a testament to what’s possible when visionary women lead.”

The global cannabis beverage market was valued at $1.16 billion in 2024 and is projected to top $3 billion in 2025.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Whoopi, a cultural icon who shares our passion for quality, community and breaking stigma,” Pure Genesis co-founder and CEO Faye Coleman stated. “Whoop-Tea represents a new era of cannabis wellness - where the product is elevated, inclusive, and truly enjoyable.”

CMB will offer an expansive exhibit floor and a diverse state of industry-leading speakers, presenting insightful addresses, educational sessions and workshops designed to address the complexities of operating within the regional, national, and global cannabis marketplace.

In previous years, Ms. Goldberg co-founded Whoopi & Maya, a company that produced medical cannabis products for women seeking relief from menstrual cramps. The company was launched in 2016 but announced in 2020 that it was ceasing operations. In 2021, she launched a new line of cannabis products under the moniker, Emma & Clyde, named for her late mother and brother. She recently has gone on to create WhoopFam Brands, an umbrella company that incorporates her previous commercial efforts and produces holistic medicinal solutions for Women. But Whoop-Tea signals a new lane into the booming cannabis beverage market for the multi-talented International Super-star.

“I’ve always believed in the power of cannabis - not just for wellness but for joy…

I am excited to be a part of this incredible shift in wellness culture,” Ms. Goldberg said.
